If you recall my mid-May post on Euro 2008 odds, you'll remember I placed $5 on Spain to win Euro 2008 at 6:1. Well, it's not exactly life-changing money, but my $5 bet paid $35 thanks to Fernando Torres and company. Gracias, amigos! And in case you were wondering, no, I don't have to go to Las Vegas to cash in the ticket. I can mail it in with a self-addressed stamped envelope and The Palms will send me a check. Perhaps the winnings will be spent on tapas.
